“Honestly, I was shocked that it happened, and it got to that point. It’s quite disgusting that this even happened, and it wasn’t an act of patriotism or people defending their rights. It was an act of terrorism in my opinion.”

“To be honest, I got the same opinion like many other people. I feel like if those people were minorities attacking then there would be many bullets fired into the crowd, but because it’s white people they let them do what they want for way too long.”
“The recent attack on the Capitol was a treasonous, uncivilized and a direct attack on American democracy. The protestors had the right to do a peaceful protest to voice out their opinions but did not have the right to violate the rules and regulations. I believe that this kind of attack on the Capitol could provoke more future riots during the week of the inauguration and is threatful for the new government of President-elect Joe Biden.
“I do not support the attack on the Capitol, as in my opinion, it was sheer cowardly and very unsporting on Trump’s part to be indulging in something like this. Violence is not the answer to anything, and he should have accepted his loss gracefully, keeping the respect of being an ex-president intact. If a violent act like this is being encouraged by a leader, then such a leader is a huge threat to the nation’s democracy and the values it stands for.

“It’s a disgrace to the whole country. It’s just so wild that it can’t be imagined happening. And all of this for what? A businessman turned president who lost the election by such a huge difference? I kind of find this funny too because the U.S. is a superpower and always interferes with other countries' conflicts, and now every big and small country is interfering and throwing advice.”
