A representative from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising (FIDM) came to The College on Thursday, Nov. 8 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in College Center to inform students about transfer opportunities.

FIDM’s representative, Audrey Weisberg, said, “With a degree from FIDM, students can expect careers in entertainment, fashion, digital cinema, digital design, digital media, social media, fashion design, interior design, marketing and business management. Most of the paths touch on business management.”

Weisberg said that FIDM is best for students majoring in business or marketing degrees.

According to their website, FIDM has four locations in California. The campuses are in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Orange County and San Diego.

Weisberg also said that FIDM does the one most important thing: professionalize students and get them ready for careers.

Weisberg said that FIDM’s transfer process is a rolling admission, meaning that is goes on year-round.

For more information, students can visit fidm.edu to sign up for emails or texts, or email Weisberg at [email protected].
