Kiryu Coco is a virtual YouTuber and a Fourth Generation Hololive member. She’s caring and speaks her mind when it comes to various topics, and I can’t help but love her for that.

Coco joined Hololive because she used to watch Akai Haato/Haachama and decided she wanted to be a part of the agency too. I consider her one of the more mature members of Hololive since she uses crude humor, offensive speech and swears a lot.

Although Coco does have more mature language and humor, it doesn’t affect what she does in her streams and for her fellow members. For example, Coco goes out of the way to review the provoking memes on the official Hololive Reddit page, and she explains them, in Japanese, to the Japanese Hololive members and fans, so they can understand the posts.

Coco also has this news segment called “AsaCoco Live News,” where she parodies a news anchor she likes and talks about the content that she and her fellow Fourth Generation Hololive members have done that week. I find her news segments entertaining to watch if you were busy that specific week and need a recap of what happened to Coco and her fellow generation mates.

One of my favorite streams Coco did was a skit that she acted out with Sakura Miko, where Coco was an American citizen, and Miko was a Japanese tourist. During the skit, Miko tried asking where the Statue of Liberty is located and for Coco to fly Miko to the top of the Statue of Liberty.

Miko kept saying “Freedom Lady” for the first half of the skit, which made me laugh hysterically as the Statue of Liberty represents freedom and democracy. In the second act of the skit, Miko kept bringing up the word “butterfly,” which made Coco think she wanted to jump out of the top of the Statue of Liberty as a butterfly.

Akai Haato/Haachama hosted an English telephone game segment, and Coco helped her with it, and the participants for that were the members of the Japanese Hololive branch. I didn’t know what to expect from the game show skit but it made me laugh a lot, mainly because some of the words became distorted, due to the Japanese members not understanding English.

Coco has also been living with her fellow generation mate Amane Kanata in Japan for quite a while. Kanata goes out of her way to care for Coco. For example, Kanata will bring Coco meals throughout the day, even while she is streaming. Also, if Kanata is exhausted after a long day, Coco lets Kanata sleep in her bed while Coco continues streaming. I think they have a sweet friendship and it is cute to watch them grow closer.

Coco goes beyond the boundaries that most, if not all of the virtual YouTubers consider safe, next to what Akai Haato/Haachama creates and posts. If you haven’t watched Kiryu Coco, you should since she is playful, fun-loving and has the biggest heart in the entire Hololive community, in my opinion.
