George Street Playhouse is performing “Bad Dates” online until March 14.
George Street Playhouse’s director of development, Jacqueline Brendel, said viewers will receive a link via email before the show starts. On weekdays, the link will be sent at 11 a.m. and 6 p.m.; on weekends, it will be sent at noon.
Brendel said, “The show is a one-woman comedy about a single mom in search of cute shoes, the perfect dress and a romantic table for two at a great restaurant. “Bad Dates”is a charming, funny and hopeful tale of dates gone wrong, and looking for Mr. Right.”
Brendel said tickets are $33 for the household, and viewers can select English or Spanish captions for this performance.
Sharon Hoffman, a MC alumna, said that she would watch the show with her friends, as they look back on their bad dates.
According to George Street Playhouse’s website, “The Wall Street Journal said [“Bad Dates”] is miraculously contrived to turn Ms. Rebeck’s show into a poignant slice of urban life that also happens to be drop-dead funny.”
